My biggest advice is to understand exactly how your product or service helps the potential customer and remember that ALWAYS when having a conversation about it. If you go into every “sales” conversation with that in mind and the positive impact your product or service is going to have on them, you will never feel sales-y again, you’ll feel extremely helpful.
People don’t just pay attention to what you are offering because they know you.
You have to guide them, show them, TELL THEM, what you offer and how it will benefit them. So often we get in the way of ourselves and the success of our business because we are scared of what others will think or say about us. Who gives a shit? You have a product and/or service that YOU believe in, you KNOW the difference it can make in their lives, so freaking shout it from the rooftops. I promise once you overcome the fear of “but what will they say about me?” the revenue will flow on in because you are actually SHOWING UP!
